Bangladesh Bank has declared credit rating of commercial banks mandatory and to be conducted by recognized ratying agencies. And accordingly Alpha Credit Rating Limited (ACRL) is conducting Janata Bank’s rating based on financial statement of the year ended on 31 December 2012. The final rating report yet to be published. By this time CRISL has rated Janata Bank “A+” (sufficiently safe) in the long term and ST-2(High standard) in the short term. In addition to this, as state woned organization CRISL rated the Bank “AAA” and “ST-1” in long and short term respectively.
